Proficiency Exam and Practice the Medical Profession

After seven years of medical school, the student must pass the aptitude and practice exam (Kunskasprovet), which is the final step in becoming a medically, scientifically, and academically qualified doctor. The exam includes a set of scientific theory tests and is conducted in Swedish 100% of the time. Practical test section

It lasts two days and is held at Ume University. It assesses the student’s ability to work and behave as a doctor in all circumstances. Passing the theory exam is required before proceeding to the practical exam.
