Proficiency Exam and Practice the Medical Profession

After seven years of medical school, the student must pass the aptitude and practice exam (Kunskasprovet), which is the final step in becoming a medically, scientifically, and academically qualified doctor. The exam includes a set of scientific theory tests and is conducted in Swedish 100% of the time. The exam may also be taken three times or three times in order to obtain the highest rating, within five years of the first attempt. (2)

Practical test section

It lasts two days and is held at Ume University. It assesses the student’s ability to work and behave as a doctor in all circumstances. Passing the theory exam is required before proceeding to the practical exam.
